HOT Indonesia Mapathon

  Following the success of last year’s talkshow, this year’s OSMGeoWeek Talkshow in Indonesia will feature HOT’s partners, from public, private, donor, IO, NGO, university, each explaining how they use OpenStreetMap or innovative using spatial technologies to tackle social, economic, and ecological challenges as well as to further the attainment of sustainable development goals. The event is also in conjunction with the result announcement of Uni-Battle Mapping Final Round, running through August to November 2017. HOT is a worldwide nonprofit organization with over 45,000 community members spread all over the world; over 3,000 of which are in Indonesia. HOT Indonesia, together with @atamerica, will celebrate the week for Indonesian communities by organizing a talkshow that can educate, inspire and increase Indonesian public in their awareness and participation on the use of open-source and open spatial data for development. We invite Geographic Information System enthusiasts, OpenStreetMap communities as well as HOT’s organization partners and university students as audience which will create a great networking event for like-minded people.
